Professor Dato' Dr. Shamala Subramaniam, AKA PROF, is a Senior Computer Science Academic at Universiti Putra Malaysia, and also holds the position of Deputy President at the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC).
Born and bred in Port Dickson, Malaysia - PROF comes from a large family of teachers and Hockey lovers. She first represented the Malaysian Women's Hockey team at 19 years of age.
